Bachelor pads typically follow the same design formula: modern lounge chairs, oversize entertainment centers, Jordan Belfort pop art and stocked wet bars. Thankfully, Ana Donohue went a different route when designing her client’s home. The two-story abode underwent a much-needed redesign that strays far from bachelor pad territory with rich jewel tones, fun patterns, and feminine touches. “The overall aestheic of the project was masculine traditional meets color explosion,” she says.
